Why to become a doctor?

What should motivate a person to become a physician?  The fundamental reason for one to get into the medical profession should be his/her extraordinary concern about Human Life.   Only when we are moved by these  special feelings toward our fellow beings, we qualify to the sacred mission to treat people.  This means to see every patient as a unique, special individual, and NOT as a number, or a laboratory piece, to be studied &  discarded. Those who only see the medical field as a profitable way to make a living should chose a different professional path.
